Stugo adds new carpet and stage to A-Frame
Stugo is remodeling the A-Frame by re-carpeting the floors and adding a stage to make the building more appealing to students.
"Because we are not central to campus, we're [Stugo] trying to keep things changing and improving to keep people coming," Tre Wilbanks, Stugo president, said.
The A-Frame not only provides a place where students can socialize, but it also houses the Stugo offices. Because of the flooding in the library during mid-semester break, the carpet installation has been pushed back a couple of weeks.
The stage has already been built in the A-Frame. Eventually Stugo will add three removable pieces, Wilbanks said. Brad Ediger, Destiny's sound technician, is helping with the arrangements. The sound system is a two- to three-year plan.
Stugo has many other long-term plans for the A-Frame that include remodeling the kitchen and possibly adding a stove, adding new lighting, putting in a projector for movie nights and other activities, and picking up and installing a pool table
Stugo plans to throw small parties for each stage of the remodel. Wilbanks suggested a movie night to involve students in the A-Frame changes.
