Out of the Grey's new album, "6.1," is a surefire hit and a must-buy. This is their first new studio album in four years and their first album with Rocketown Records. Scott and Christine Dente, a husband and wife duo, signed an exclusive recording contract with Rocketown Records on Dec. 13, 2000.

Besides being very entertaining, this album's lyrics are spiritually uplifting and thought-provoking. They encourage their listeners to keep going on with their walk with God. The duo's love for the Savior shines through on every track.

Their musical style is a combination of adult-oriented pop and a colorful and upbeat style. There is much to be discovered for the listener on this album.

The only weakness I could find with this album is that there were no solo tracks by Scott Dente. Scott has a great voice. He sang beautifully in a short solo on track eight. It would have been nice to hear some solo tracks by him.

Here's the best of the album:

"Shine Like Crazy" (track one) is upbeat and colorful in its style. The song talks about the passion that needs to be in our lives. Christ has set us free from sin and despair; our lives in turn should be an explosive combination of grace and gratitude. "I know we can shine like crazy and shimmer like the sun," the chorus says.

"What's It Gonna Be" (track four) asks Christians why they are living with fear. If Christ's love has set them free, than they have nothing to lose. The song tells listeners to grow up and start living life as it was meant to be lived. "What's it gonna be now, baby, are you gonna fly? What's it gonna take now, honey, just to make you try?" the song asks.

"I Want Everything" (track 10) talks about our deep dissatisfaction with life. We are all longing for the love of Christ and will settle for nothing less than that. "All these diversions and distractions leave my desires unsatisfied. Because He set eternity inside my heart, I'll be restless 'til I'm resting in his arms."

"Grace, Mercy, and Peace" (track 11) is a beautiful piano ballad that is almost like a benediction to close the album. This track speaks with poignant simplicity of the wonderful joy that awaits anyone who comes to Jesus Christ. "Grace, mercy and peace are yours if you believe. I pray that you'll know his love and feel more joy than you can show. But more than these, I pray you'll taste his grace, mercy, and peace."

I recommend this album. Out of the Grey's musical style is colorful and entertaining. The lyrics are beautiful and thought-provoking. It also is spiritually encouraging. This is one Out of the Grey album you will not want to miss.
