Stugo Committees Want to Serve Multnomah Students
Every Wednesday morning when Stugo gathers, I talk about WIMTBV, What It Means To Be Visible.
We as a team have rallied around the idea of being visible to you.
When we said we wanted to be visible, it wasn't just trying to get elected. We all firmly believe in this and are committed to serving you.
Being visible allows us to be more effective in serving you. Each week we discuss how we can be more available and thus serve you better.
Being visible helps us have integrity because it means you keep us accountable to lead and serve you well.
We are going to be visible with our meetings, which you are welcome to attend.
We are going to be visible with our finances.
We are going to be visible with ourselves.
Leading is something we take seriously. Serving you is something we enjoy.
Speaking of things we enjoy, fall banquet is coming up. The Stugo events and activities committee, led by Kim Drechsel, is putting it on in early November. The committee has been working hard to make the banquet and other events great.
Being visible is better for you. Believe it or not, we can actually do things to make your time here better. We are here to represent you.
The Stugo advocacy and relations committee does just that. Ted Rydmark chairs the committee, which represents your needs and wants to the administration and makes sure your voice is heard.
Being visible helps us know what you are excited about. The Stugo clubs and involvement committee seeks to help you gather people with common interests and be active about those interests. Chair Michelle McEvoy and her committee will help you establish clubs and get more involved.
We want to hear from you so we can know how to best serve you.
On the wall outside the Stugo offices is a box where you can submit your comments to us. Please do, or come by and talk with us.
We are humbled by the privilege of serving you.
