Postmodernism is a term which designates a major shift in culture which has taken place over the last several decades. Postmodernism (which we simply refer to as "pomo") should not be considered as an actual worldview in itself. Rather, it is an influence which has effected the thinking, values, and behaviors of those who hold to each of the main worldviews (atheism, spiritualism, and theism). There are modern and postmodern atheists, just as there are modern and postmodern theists. But the coming of postmodernism may represent a shift in thinking which may ultimately have effects as far-reaching as did the Enlightenment.
