B.A., Multnomah University

Hired in 2022

Sam and his wife moved to Portland from Boise, Idaho in 2020 so he could attend Multnomah for his Undergrad in Bible/Theology. He is currently enrolled in the MABS – Hebrew Bible track, and after that he’ll be looking to do further education pursuant to his goal of teaching the Word in a University setting.

Before coming to MU he worked as a technician and trainer for Apple for 5 years in their Boise retail location, fixing software and hardware problems at first, and then stepping into the educational role. His days were spent mainly helping people understand their technology and take their use of it beyond the introductory levels, encouraging all users to be comfortable using their products for creative purposes in addition to professional and personal ones.

One of his great joys at Multnomah is spending time as a Hebrew Tutor. He loves to see the way students grow in their command of the language and the excitement that comes as they engage the text “face-to-face” for the first time.

Sam and his wife currently live north of Vancouver with their miniature dachshund Baron. In his free time Sam enjoys reading, fishing, making music, and just generally spending time outside, ideally in the quiet and peace of undeveloped creation. He also really like movies, especially classics and foreign films.
