Ministry took center stage in Ben Quezada’s life growing up with his parents who served as missionaries in Oaxaca, Mexico. He sensed God’s call to attend Multnomah University to gain a foundation for ministry.
After hearing about his parents’ experience as graduates from Multnomah University, Quezada enrolled in the Summit program which expedites his undergraduate and graduate degree in a matter of five years. He is excited to push towards his goal of finishing his Master of Divinity program in 2020.
“The classes here helped me in my understanding of the Bible,” Quezada says. “Expanding my understanding of the whole Bible and how it fits together and how it points to Jesus in complex and intricate ways.”
Since coming to MU, Quezada has decided to stay longer in Portland to soak up the culture and find more ways to serve in his church. Through his professors’ influence, Quezada’s heart for Portland has grown.
“I know I want to take the wealth of knowledge from my time here and serve the least of these in our city,” Quezada says.
Throughout his time here, Quezada has learned from the close mentorship and sound Biblical teaching of his professors so he can now serve more effectively wherever God leads him.
