Alumni Opportunity to Travel to Historic Virginia

This spring, alumni will have the opportunity to explore the East Coast and learn about the origins of the United States alongside MU students. In conjunction with a class on American history, Dr. Phil Johnson is leading a group of students and alumni to visit Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown — the historic triangle in Virginia. The trip will be from March 24 to March 31, during the university’s spring break.

Five spots are currently open to alumni (10 including spouses.) There is a required two-credit audit fee (Alumni Lifetime Learning Benefits available,) and the cost of the trip is estimated to be $2,300 (or $1,800 per person for a couple.) This fee includes airfare, hotel accommodations, entrance to sites, transportation and breakfast for each day. Excursions to historical sites will be done as a group, but individuals are free to do whatever they want once arrived (although Dr. Johnson will certainly have some recommendations.)
