Application Checklist

The information you provide will help our admissions committee to understand you better and help you determine if Multnomah University would be the right fit for you.

Undergraduate Checklist

  • Meet the Undergraduate Educational Qualifications
    • Students applying to Multnomah must have graduated from high school or earned an equivalent degree (GED) with a minimum 2.5-grade point average (GPA).
  • Fill out your MU application
    • Fall Priority Application Deadline: August 1
    • Spring Priority Application Deadline: December 1
  • Submit your $40 Application Fee
    • This non-refundable fee is to be paid online when the application is submitted.
  • Submit your Christian Character Reference Form
    • This form is to be completed by the applicant’s minister, youth minister, or spiritual mentor, or another Christian adult who knows the student well. This form cannot be completed by a relative.
  • Request your Official High School Transcript
    • This should include at least the junior year (or GED Score Report) from your high school. It should be a sealed document sent directly from your high school to Multnomah University. If you have not yet graduated, please also submit a final transcript upon graduation.
  • Transfer Students
    • Official Transcript(s) from each college or university you have attended, or are currently attending, or from which you will receive credit.
    • Transfer applicants who have earned fewer than 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter credits) of college-level credit must also submit high school transcripts or GED results.
  • For homeschooled students only:
    • Students under 21 years of age will need to submit SAT or ACT scores. Multnomah’s standardized test identification numbers are:
      • SAT Code: 4496
      • ACT Code: 3476

Graduate Checklist

Online Checklist

    • A professor, mentor, employer, or former employer, or the like should complete this form; it should not be completed by a relative.
  • Designate a Mentor (Online MACL and M.Div. programs only)
    • As a part of Multnomah Biblical Seminary’s online program, students are required to meet regularly with a mentor (Pastor, Elder, Deacon, or other Church Leader) in their local community. This form is to be completed by the person agreeing to serve in that capacity.
  • Request your Official Transcript(s)
    • Undergraduate
      • This should include at least the junior year (or GED Score Report) from your high school. It should be a sealed document sent directly from your high school to Multnomah University. If you have not yet graduated, please also submit a final transcript upon graduation.
    • Graduate and Seminary
      • Official Transcript(s) from each institution you have attended or are currently attending or from which you will receive credit.

    • This non-refundable fee is to be paid online when the application is submitted.
  • Submit your Christian Character Reference Form
    • This form is to be completed by a mentor, minister, or another leader who can speak to the applicant’s commitment to Christian values as well as his or her spiritual and emotional maturity. This reference cannot be completed by a relative.
    • Not required for D.Min. and MAAT applicants.
  • Submit your Academic or Professional Reference Form
    • A professor, mentor, employer, or former employer, or the like should complete this form. This form cannot be completed by a relative.
    • Not required for D.Min. and MAAT applicants.
  • Request your Official Transcript(s)
    • Official Transcript(s) from each institution you have attended or are currently attending or from which you will receive credit.
D.Min. & MAAT Additional Items Checklist

  • Married applicants
    • If you are married, your spouse will need to submit a form affirming his or her support for your pursuit of the degree. Your spouse will be an indirect participant in your education, as your pursuit will impact the time, energy, and resources you have to give to other responsibilities. We believe it is important to have his or her full support in this venture.
    • Note: D.Min. and MAAT applicants are not required to submit the Academic or Professional Reference Form or the Christian Character Reference Form.

FAQS

If you do not have an official transcript, you may submit your General Education Development (GED) test scores OR a signed parental statement indicating that you have fulfilled the homeschool requirements for your state AND a written transcript for grades 9-12 identifying each course you took, the grades you received, and your graduation date. Multnomah provides a free transcript template as a courtesy to our homeschooled applicants.
