Multnomah University & Biblical Seminary is a Christian institution built on evangelical, protestant tradition. In community, our actions and attitudes impact one another. Because Multnomah is a tight-knit community built on Biblical principles and comprised of growing individuals, Multnomah expects students to adhere to a code of conduct.

As a Biblical Seminary, students at Multnomah are expected to conduct themselves in line with the guidelines, principles, and regulations published in the catalog and student handbook. Multnomah seeks to be an alcohol-free, tobacco-free, drug-free, and sexually pure campus and our students agree to live according to the Human Sexuality and Purity Understandings.

Because you indicated that you have a civil or criminal indictment, conviction, history and/or disciplinary action on this application, you will be asked to complete a background check once all of your application materials are received and processed.

A previous disciplinary action, conviction, indictment or prosecution may not automatically bar an applicant from admissions to the university. We request that the applicant provide the Admissions Office permission to obtain a background check (at no cost to the student).

This form is to be completed by a colleague who is involved in ministry alongside you and who knows you well. It should not be completed by a relative. 

Your application file is not considered complete until a Ministry Colleague Reference form has been received by the University's Admissions Office.

Please provide the name and contact information for somebody who can serve as your Church Leadership Reference. The admissions team will email your reference a form to complete on your behalf. 

This form is to be completed by a pastor, elder or someone else in formal leadership in the your church. It should not be completed by a relative. 

Your application file is not considered complete until a Christian Character Reference form has been received by the University's Admissions Office.

Please submit an essay of at least 500 words detailing:

a. Your current relationship with Jesus Christ,

b. Why you wish to pursue this degree at Multnomah Biblical Seminary and your personal and/or vocational goals in completing this degree,

c. Your perspectives on Multnomah's doctrinal statement, particularly your understanding of the Trinity, deity of Jesus Christ, and the Bible as God's Word.

Please submit a typed, 300-500 word statement describing 

A: Your current ministry role. 

B: Your personal growth as a result of a recent ministry experience.

Please submit a typed, 300-500 word statement discussing two major issues facing the Church in your community today.

Please submit a typed, 300-500 word statement discussing a book you have read within the past year that has been influential in your life.
