Prof. Curt Bickley
Head Men's Basketball Coach
“Never mistake activity for achievement.” –John Wooden
Where I come from
My skills come from years of experience. I played basketball in high school for my father, Coach Stan Bickley. I then moved to Pensacola Christian College where I was a four-year letter winner. My senior year, I won the team's Most Valuable Player award and was named to the Orange Belt all-conference team.
Before coaching at MU, I spent five years as head coach at Valley Christian Academy in Santa Maria, California, and five years as head basketball coach and athletic director at Bethesda Christian School in Brownsburg, Indiana. I have also led basketball ministry trips to Brazil, China, and Taiwan.
I have directed summer basketball camps for the past 17 years to teach children basketball skills and to provide older students with ministry opportunities.
I enjoy spending time with my wife, Melissa, and four children—Whitney, Tyler, Adrie, and Jesse.
Extra-curricular, non-ministry activities
My hobbies are golfing, fishing, traveling, and watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers.
My favorite books are Unbroken and Lone Survivor.
