Multnomah Wins Home Opener 124-120 in OT


124-120 win

Portland, Oregon - October 18, 2013- The Multnomah University Men's Basketball team openedtheir season on Friday night in front of a huge home crowd by beating the Douglas College Royals from Vancouver, B.C. by a score of 124-120 in overtime. 
The first half was a shootout for both teams with a halftime score of Multnomah up 57-47. Davey Walker and Stevie Sansone led the charge from behind the 3 point line to help take the lead. Austin Feaster attacking on offense.
In the second half, the Lions built a 19 point lead, but Douglas College came roaring back with a big run to tie the game at 108 at the buzzer. In overtime, the Lions built a 7 point lead and hung on for the win. 
Steve Bustrin led the Lions with 14 assists, while Jordan Paris and Erik Mendoza each snagged 13 rebounds. Walker finished with 30 points and Sansone finished with 34. TK Moffit led the bench scoring with 7 points. 
Multnomah will look to keep the winning ways going tomorrow against Columbia Bible College from Abottsford, B.C.
