Keegan Matsukado was a founding member of the Portland State University Men’s Lacrosse Program. As a four-year starter at defenseman Keegan was a member of the only Portland State team to make a Division 1 playoff. Keegan has been coaching lacrosse for over a decade, starting his career coaching at the youth level with Wilson Youth Lacrosse in Portland, Oregon from 2008-2011. Keegan later turned his sights to the collegiate level, becoming an assistant coach at the University of Portland in 2016. The very next season he was promoted to Head Coach and took the University of Portland program to their conference semifinal game for the first time in over 6 years. Keegan left the University of Portland with multiple playoff berths and the #7 upset in the country in 2018. Currently Keegan assists with Nike Lacrosse Camps and multiple tournaments around the Pacific Northwest.

Keegan has one daughter named Daphne and a very aggressive pug named Bam-Bam. You will see Bam-Bam around campus regularly, either with Keegan or any of the men’s or women’s lacrosse athletes.
