Danielle Render Turmaud is a passionate educator and Counseling Professional who has a heart for meeting others where they are in life and supporting them accordingly. At Multnomah University, Danielle serves as Faculty Coordinator and Instructor of Applied Psychology with Multnomah University Online. Danielle also teaches as an Adjunct Instructor for the Master of Arts in Counseling program. Danielle is driven by a deep passion for helping students engage with learning on a deep level such that they can glean personal meaning from the material and use it in their God-given purpose.

Before coming to Multnomah, Danielle taught undergraduate and graduate students of Psychology and Counseling at universities in both Georgia and Oregon. Currently, Danielle is in the process of obtaining her Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education at Oregon State University. As a clinician, Danielle specializes in working with survivors of trauma, specifically sexual assault, interpersonal violence, and sexual exploitation. In addition to her passion for teaching and counseling, Danielle has a heart for participating in leadership and advocacy efforts to work towards the de-stigmatization of trauma, eliminating barriers surrounding education and mental healthcare, and enhancing education practices. Danielle has participated in various advocacy and leadership capacities including but not limited to presenting at conferences domestically and internationally, conducting meaningful research, co-authoring a textbook chapter on research, participating as an Initial Reader Consultant for the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs, conducting training on trauma-informed care, and writing for Psychology Today as an expert blog author on the topic of Trauma.
