Director, Doctor of Ministry
D.Min., Multnomah Biblical Seminary
M.S.M., Multnomah Biblical Seminary;
B.A., George Fox University
I had been teaching Bible and ministry classes for many years as well as pastoring before I returned to Multnomah to upgrade my Master’s degree. Then I was part of the inaugural Doctor of Ministry cohort and completed my D. Min. Summa Cum Laude in May 2017, and was promptly hired to run the program! I am passionate about helping pastors and other Christian workers faithfully fulfill the God-given calling on their lives.
I have served in full-time pastoral ministry for over 32 years, during which I developed, directed, and taught courses in a church-based Bible institute for 15 years. I ran a 27,000 volume lending library. I blog extensively on a number of sites.
I regularly blog on the Psalms or other biblical texts, and also post about cultural engagement issues. I love taking sunset and other scenic pictures climbing 140 steps to do so several times a week. I enjoy watching Seattle Mariners baseball and Seahawks football in season. I also enjoy playing games with friends, going to movies, reading, and writing poetry.
In the Portland area, I enjoy watching Hillsboro Hops baseball games, trips to the beach with my wife, and off street bike rides. Starbucks is my favorite off-campus haunt.
I have two grown children that live in the area and I enjoy plying them with Dad-jokes!
