M.A., Leadership (in progress)
I chose Multnomah Biblical Seminary for its blend of academic rigor and bible-focused spirituality–I sought a learning community where a simple devotion to Christ is elevated yet simple answers to the Christian life were examined. My position as Leadership Development and Housing coordinator allows me to serve students as they pursue their God given calling in life and puts me on the front lines where God (through our amazing student body) can continually shape my perspectives on the most effective means of growing Christ loving young adults.
My leadership experience includes 5 years of full time ministry experience as a campus minister to senior preaching pastor as well as 6 years experience as a professional personal trainer/coach and fitness director.
Being from Northern Wisconsin, I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing and hunting in the great outdoors. Of particular enjoyment are long walks in the evening with my lovely wife and two hounds Stella (15” Beagle) and CJ (Treeing Walker Coonhound). I love Olympic weightlifting, reading, golfing, mentoring men, playing all types of sports, and laughing. God has graced my life with loving, exceptional parents (including in-laws) and siblings whom I love and miss in addition to several deeply meaningful long standing friendships I maintain from my undergrad days.
We love discovering new food carts to patronize–partial to Persian dishes. The best one is downtown near Old Town/China Town. We also love exploring all the various districts in Portland on foot. Lastly, we enjoy hiking the gorge as often as we can during the summer. Most of all we enjoy hanging with our close friends and those times usually involve food preparation or experimentation…like smoking a brisket or prepping a Pizookie.
