Uses role play and other experiential learning to teach students how to sell and introduces them to the best practice models for successful sales.

Teaches students how to negotiate effectively in a variety of contexts, both personal and professional.

Course Layout

Program Distinctives

The Professional Sales program offers the unique opportunity to combine the Multnomah experience with an enhanced program that features faculty who are practitioners and industry leaders. This program is a traditional undergraduate 4-year program with a small percentage of classes delivered online from top academic minds and industry leaders. The general education courses and the business core classes will be delivered on campus as a part of the residential, undergraduate business program.

Professional Sales Electives

12 credits will be delivered online through the Lower Cost Models for Independent Colleges Consortium (LCMC).

This curriculum was created by the Faculty of Western Michigan University- the #2 ranked sales program in the country – and Dr. Lukas Forbes of Western Kentucky University. Every class integrates practical experience like simulated sales activities with classmates and industry experts.

Career Placement

Professional Sales Degree – The EMSI Degrees at Work Report found that 18% of business graduates work in sales after graduation. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, sales workers in the services and wholesale sectors will continue to be in demand because these occupations remain critical in building and maintaining customer bases for businesses.

Sales and Marketing roles are always in high demand and salespeople are often the highest-paid individual contributors within a company. Sales Managers have a median annual salary of $126,640 and Sales Management jobs are expected to grow 60% faster than average through 2028. Similarly, Account Executives – another common sales role – often earn total compensation ranging from $150,000 – $200,000+.
