Multnomah University is Officially a Governing Member of CCCU

We believe that Christians can show more compassion, persevere through more adversity, and make more discoveries when they work together in unity. Not only do the people of Multnomah strive together, but Multnomah University as an institution cooperates with other like-minded Christian colleges and universities around the world. Through our participation in the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU), we are connected with more than 150 institutions in the U.S. and Canada along with 30 institutions from 18 additional countries.

Multnomah University is officially a governing member of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU). This exciting news is the result of diligent work behind-the-scenes by many faculty and staff who helped our institution meet the qualifications for the highest level of membership in the CCCU. Our governing membership in the CCCU is a recognition of our biblically rooted foundation, excellent academic programs, and Christ-centered community.

How does this impact students at Multnomah?

  • Our students are now entitled to participate in all the CCCU faith-integrated, off-campus study programs without waiting for open spots
  • We will be more represented in CCCU’s lobbying efforts nationally and locally

Shirley V. Hoogstra, President of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities wrote, “The CCCU Board of Directors and myself are so excited to approve your membership change from Associate Member to Governing Member. Multnomah University has been a faithful member of the CCCU since 2007. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue our partnership and for the new membership capacity of Multnomah University. I look forward to the many ways your institution and leadership continue to bless the CCCU.”
