B.S. in Aviation Taking Flight at Multnomah
Did you know the employment of airline and commercial pilots is projected to grow 13 percent from 2020 to 2030? That’s a faster growth rate than most occupations in the US. This increase would equate to 14,500 openings for airline and commercial pilots each year, on average, over the next decade (bls.org).
To meet the needs of this growing market, Multnomah is partnering with Hillsboro Aero Academy (HAA) to bring a Bachelor of Science in Aviation program to Multnomah. Students will receive hands-on flight training from HAA in Hillsboro while earning an undergraduate degree through Multnomah University Online.
This opportunity provides students with the best of both worlds—a degree from a well-respected private university that aligns with their biblical values and flight training from one of the premier aviation institutions in the Northwest.
Multnomah is excited to partner with HAA in the development of this program. Since 1980, the mission of Hillsboro Aero Academy has been to deliver the finest airplane and helicopter training in the sky. Aviators from 75+ countries have chosen HAA to fulfill their dream of a career in flight. HAA delivers a 40-year reputation and the industry’s top safety certification.
Upon completing the program, students will be prepared to join the aerospace community and serve as professional pilots, instructors, and leaders in the aviation field.
“I am glad I chose HAA as my flight school. Their large fleet and infrastructure combined with the mountainous terrain and weather in the PNW definitely gave me the confidence to move forward with my career.”
