Dr. Joseph Wong will retire after 33 years of faithful service to Multnomah at the end of June. During his tenure, Dr. Wong served as a faculty member, college academic dean, vice president, member of the president's council and foundations grant writer. His most recent responsibility has been vice president of the Information Services Department. His contributions to Multnomah are significant, both as a member of the Multnomah family and as a spokesman to the Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges. He has also spoken in local churches along the west coast.
Effective July 1, 2004, ISD will move under the supervision of Gina Berquist, vice president of enrollment management. ISD is a vital support department that serves Multnomah. Berquist will be working closely with ISD to redesign and expand Multnomah's website. The web is proving to be an effective marketing, recruiting and promotional tool.
The decision not to hire a new vice president for the Information Services Department is part of President Lockwood's attempt to streamline the senior administrative structure at Multnomah for greater efficiency and teamwork.
