5/13/2013
Multnomah University Alumni David Ginter was found dead in his Kuala Lumpur home on May 4, 2013. His death is being investigated as a homicide by police who have not yet released a motive or exact cause of death. David is survived by his wife Sheryl and three sons. A service will take place on Wednesday May 15, 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where he most recently served as senior pastor of The Bridge International Church. A fund has been set up by his congregation for those desiring to support his family during this time.

David Ginter

David graduated from Multnomah in 1976, and went on to serve in ministry for nearly 40 years.  During his time at Multnomah he participated in choir and played soccer. After graduating from Multnomah he worked at the Way Inn, a residential discipleship training program operated by Boulevard Church, and also served in their youth ministry.

David then set out to serve various congregations in the United States, Philippines, Guatemala, Asia, and the Middle East. It was his seven years in Cairo, Egypt which David credited for his appreciation and love of studying the Bible from a Middle Eastern perspective. He led at least 16 tours of the Holy Land, including stops in Egypt, Israel, and Jordan.

He has most recently served as Senior Pastor of The Bridge International Church in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Church states that David had a remarkable depth of understanding of God’s Word and that his preaching and teaching was permeated by his determination to help Christians regain their “Biblical Literacy.”

David and his wife Sheryl have three sons currently living in the United States.
