2019 – 2020 Tuition & Financial Aid Overview

The information provided here pertains to undergraduate students enrolling at Multnomah University’s Portland campus for the first time in Fall 2019 or Spring 2020.

You must be enrolled in the full-time block tuition (12-18 lecture credits) to be considered for Multnomah institutional awards. Priority consideration is given to students who are admitted and have a valid FAFSA on file by August 1.

$5,000 – $7,000 President’s Scholarship

$3,000 – $4,000 Dean’s Scholarship

3.0 – 3.24 GPA

$500 – $2,000 SAT / ACT Academic Scholarship

SAT 1200+ or ACT 25+

These scholarships are renewable for 4 years with a 3.0 Multnomah semester and cumulative GPA.

MU Grant is need-based and is determined by institutional methodology based on information from the FAFSA. Renewable 4 years depending on financial need.

Diversity Scholarship
Amount Up to $3,000
Application Criteria Intended for full-time students who embody Multnomah's vision for developing an intentionally diverse academic community.

Global Ministry Scholarship
Amount $7,500
Application Criteria Intended for full-time third or fourth year Global Studies majors.
Deadline April 1

Additional application required. Available for those students who are committed to serving within a missions context in under-resourced communities in developing countries around the world where there is great need. Replaces the Multnomah Grant. Applicants may reapply each year to be considered for this scholarship.

Heritage Award
Amount $1,000 - $2,000
Application Criteria Intended for full-time students with parent or grandparent who graduated from Multnomah, and/or two full-time students from the same financial household (according to FAFSA definition of a financial household) enrolled at Multnomah University simultaneously.

Renewable 4 years (students must be considered in the same financial household to renew the multi-student portion of this award).

Christian Service Award

Application Criteria Intended for full-time students with one parent in full-time ministry.

Parent must be in full-time ministry as a pastor or missionary. Renewable 4 years

Church Matching Scholarship
Amount $1,000
Application Criteria Intended for full-time students.
Deadline August 1

MU will match one church’s contribution at rate of 50% up to $1,000 maximum. Additional application required.

Military Service Award
Amount $1,000
Application Criteria Intended for full-time students who are veterans.
Deadline August 1

Award for honorably discharged veterans who did not receive 100% Post-9/11 GI Bill. Renewable 4 years.

Campus Visit Scholarship
Amount $500
Application Criteria Intended for full-time students.
Deadline August 1

Available for students who have participated in a “qualified visit” to Multnomah’s Portland campus before August 1st. Determination of a “qualified visit” is made by the Admissions and Financial Aid departments. Schedule a visit or call Admissions at 800.275.4672.

Application Criteria Returning full-time Portland Campus undergraduate students with a semester and cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and are in compliance with Multnomah’s standards for student conduct. Preference given to students who plan to pursue Women’s Ministry or are currently leading a Bible study.
