Colton grew up in York, Pennsylvania, and learned to play volleyball from his Dad. After an All-State high school career, Colton played for Division 1 George Mason University and graduated with a B.S. in Health, Fitness & Recreation Resources. In May of 2019, Colton Naill was selected to be the new Head Coach of the Multnomah University Women’s Volleyball program. Colton brings over 12 years of camp coaching and 8 years of elite club volleyball coaching to Portland. Before coming to MU, he spent 6 years in Orange County California, coaching all ages on the boys and girls side, indoor and beach. Colton has been involved with the USA Volleyball High-Performance program since 2007, and from 2015-2018, Colton coached teams to 4 gold medals in a row at USAV Junior Nationals for the Tstreet Volleyball Club and the Balboa Bay Volleyball Club.
Colton lives in West Linn with his wife, Lauren, their dog, Brody, and cat, Suzy Lee. In addition to coaching at MU, Colton currently coaches the top 16s for NPJ. When he’s not in the gym, Colton loves to snowboard, and he spends the winter working for the Portland-based mountain shuttle, Green Dream Bus. He also loves rock music, playing beach volleyball, and exploring all that God has created in the PNW.
