I was born in Texas to Canadian parents and German grandparents. But most of my life I have lived in the spectacular Pacific NW. After graduating from Multnomah with a Bachelor’s, I spent the next several decades alternating between church ministry and pursuing graduate education in South Africa, the US, Israel, and Canada. I have taught at the Multnomah campus for well over three decades, and I’ve seen God’s blessings transform the lives of literally thousands of students over that time. My wife and I have been married well over forty years, and are very active in our local church, where I serve as elder, regular speaking rotation, and with the worship team (5-string fretless bass and acoustic guitar), while my wife works in the office and with many other ministries. (And the mustache has been a fixture on my face and trusted companion since my 19th birthday.)
