This three-credit hour introductory certificate course provides instruction for those wishing to gain initial exposure to TESOL theory and practice. Content includes a broad overview of general principles of language learning and teaching as well as an introduction to the teaching of each skill area. Students have the option to start the certificate program and change their mind later and go for the M.A. in TESOL instead without repeating coursework.
